Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, surprisingly graced our Instagram feeds on March 14 with an exciting announcement: She's coming out with a new, all-encompassing lifestyle brand.
Markle returned to Instagram (for the first time since she and husband Prince Harry shut down their @SussexRoyal profile) to announce the launch of her American Riviera Orchard. In a post to Instagram stories, the 42-year-old mother of two is shown picking flowers and cooking in a cottagecore kitchen set to Nancy Wilson’s «I Wish You Love.» The page's feed features nine zoomed-in images that, when pieced together, make up the logo. Its bio reads: “by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Established 2024.”
Luckily, it looks like Markle will be giving us a little bit of everything to level up our homes and kitchens. When you go to sign up for the waitlist, you get a popup that promises a way to keep updated about «products, availability and updates.»
American Riviera Orchard has been trademarked by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and according to the application, it's going to offer all things lifestyle, from tablescape goods to cookbooks. There's a long list of products you can look forward to shopping once the brand launches, including tableware, decanters, napkin rings, linens, and food items like jellies, jams, marmalades, fruit preserves, and spreads.
Meghan and Harry currently live in Santa Barbara, California, with their children Archie and Lilibet. The name of her new project gives a nod to the town where they reside, which is known as the American Riviera according to Travel & Leisure. “Montecito,” which refers to their neighborhood, is also included in the logo.
This isn’t Meghan’s first
