Proctor & Gamble announced a recall on April 5 of 8.2 million bags of Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods sold in stores across the U.S. The outer packaging, meant to prevent access to the contents, has been splitting open near the zipper track and causing a potentially-dangerous hazard.
Children and other vulnerable demographics are at risk of serious injury if the contents of the laundry detergent packets are ingested and a risk of skin or eye injuries to everyone.
