A busy weekend meant today’s vase had to be prepared and a post written even further in advance than usual, and it will be brief.
The mug, a Mother’s Day present from about 3 years ago, is the prop, and is filled with Chrysanthemum ‘Grandchild’. One of three hardy chrysanthemums I have grown in pots this year, its soft pink and generous flowering has been giving me pleasure, thus earning its space, so has now been planted out in the garden. ‘Empress of China’ is finally in bud, but is far taller than I expected and the jury is still out; ‘Sea Urchin’ is…well, yellow… The mug was well chosen by Younger Daughter, as it was clearly designed as a gift for a Gardening Grannie.
If you would like to join us with a vase of your own today, please post it with the usual links to and from this post so we can share in the joy it gives you.
